Electronic music duo Pacifica emerges from the fertile soil of Zurich’s club scene. Coming out of the city that is home to electro pioneers Yello and a growing number of internationally acclaimed producers, Pacifica embraces broad influences ranging from Balearic to Deep House and Techno.

The two producers and performers Domenico Ferrari and Bálint Dobozi combine house and techno driven rhythms with a subtle blend of synth, keyboard and vocal textures to reach the fragile balance of creating spaces and at the same time delivering danceable beats.

Working on a full-blown live setup with analog synths and effects, there is always a live multitrack recording at the core of their recordings. The same applies to their live set which is sequenced and processed in the moment as well. For smaller clubs, they are offering a hybrid Live/DJ set on more compact equipment.

Their debut EP “Blaze” (DPC 056) is supported by Dixon, Âme, Gilles Peterson, Carl Craig, Adriatique, Groove Magazin, Faze Magazin, as well as heard on BBC Radio 1 (The Magician/Pete Tong), FM4 (Austria) and others.

Lately, they have been working on remixes for Off Recordings and Drumpoet.

The second EP “Memory Man”, featuring their new song „Memory Man“, a trippy journey combining folk and future house. On top this EP features two touching remixes. Kalabrese (Rumpelmusig, Perlon) delievers a laid-back but irresistible version. When it’s dropped the crowd immediately starts to dance and drift. Same thing with the Frankey + Sandrino (Innervisions, “Acamar”) remix, which works also perfectly at the peak-time of a night and results in euphoria on the dancefloor.
It is supported by Âme, Dixon, Mano Le Tough, John Talabot, Animal Trainer, Peter Kruder, and Richard Dorfmeister,
